Street Harassment Research Reports and Fact Sheets
Educational Materials Developed by YWAT adult ally and co-founder, Mariame Kaba, about Street Harassment
Mariame Kaba has been the primary adult ally for YWAT since our inception. Mariame co-founded the project with us and has been invaluable to our development. She has stressed the importance of documenting our work and has led by example. Below are some resources that Mariame created and used in working with us when we were first launching the organization. The 13-session curriculum below can be used by others to help youth understand street harassment and its impact.

YWAT Children’s Book about Street Harassment
In 2008, we created a children’s book about street harassment. Our members reflected on personal experiences and translated those into illustrations and words that could impact young girls ages 8 to 11. We were pleased to partner with teaching artist Daria Amerik to create the book. Below is a copy of that resource.
